Since a very young age music has always evoked strong feelings and emotions in her. It is the essence and thread in life that she will always be close to and will always follow. She began singing at 6 years old and since then has spent time singing, playing the piano, dancing ballet and being in many bands.

More recently she picked up a guitar and began writing her own songs. Among her inspirations she counts traditional eastern folk music, Moby and Beth Gibbons from Portishead, who blew her away with her unique musical expression. She also takes inspiration from the deep beauty and power of singing mass in church.
 

Barbora Sára’s music moves between contemporary neoclassical songwriting, art pop, indie folk and experimental vocal performance. At its centre is her distinctive, elastic voice, which she explores through extended vocal techniques, accompanied by piano, guitar or live looping.

As a classically trained pianist and self-taught composer, she combines a sensitivity to melody with an intuitive, exploratory approach to sound. Her compositions bring together intimate, emotionally charged songwriting and experimental vocal expression, creating a sound that is both delicate and powerful.
