Since a very young age music has always evoked strong feelings and emotions in her. It is the essence and thread in life that she will always be close to and will always follow. She began singing at 6 years old and since then has spent time singing, playing the piano, dancing ballet and being in many bands.

More recently she picked up a guitar and began writing her own songs. Among her inspirations she counts traditional eastern folk music, Moby and Beth Gibbons from Portishead, who blew her away with her unique musical expression. She also takes inspiration from the deep beauty and power of singing mass in church.

Music of Barbora Sára has a purely organic sound, built around her elastic, magnetic voice accompanied by looper, piano or guitar. She is a self-taught composer who approaches music intuitively rather than intellectually, allowing herself to remain free from the boundaries of genres and styles.
